The Position

Head of School | Galveston, TX

Trinity Episcopal School, a coeducational parish day school, seeks a dynamic leader who will embody and promote the School’s Mission and Core Values. Trinity was founded in 1952 by the Vestry of Trinity Episcopal Church and is located on beautiful Galveston Island, 50 miles south of Houston, TX on the Gulf of Mexico. The School serves 270 students in grades PK 2-8 with a staff of 50 dedicated, talented teachers focusing on educating the Mind, Body, and Spirit of each child.

The Head of School Candidate will be a person who leads with faith, integrity, and a collaborative spirit.  The School seeks an experienced visionary, possessing a core set of beliefs consistent with the school's Mission and the Episcopal Identity of the school.  This person will be a skilled communicator and an innovative, strategic thinker, will have experience in facilities management and enhancement and with financial planning, and the next Head will possess the talent to motivate and lead faculty and staff in initiating and strengthening academic and fine arts programs.  Preferred qualifications:  communicant of the Episcopal Church, Masters Degree and teaching experience.

The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2023.

The School

At Trinity, students are taught in self-contained classrooms in Beginning School and Lower School with some team teaching. Middle School is fully departmentalized in Grade Six, Seven and Eight.
