Head of School | Coral Gables, FL

The Position

St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School (STEPS) seeks a positive, inspiring, and empathetic leader with a passion for education and strong communication skills to build on the success of its current Head of School, Lillian Issa. The next Head will be expected to lead and inspire the faculty, promote the school, support fundraising efforts, be present at school events, articulate the value proposition, and work with the Board to engage in strategic planning. The Head of School is responsible for leading and overseeing all aspects of the school and working closely with the Board of Trustees and the Rector of the Church.

The anticipated start date for the position is July 1, 2022.

Founded in 1953 St. Thomas Episcopal Parish School (STEPS) is a preschool through grade 5 school of 425 students in the beautiful City of Coral Gables, Miami-Dade County, Florida. Tobin Building is shared with the Church and includes Rantz Hall (parish hall/performing area), music room, language lab, environmental science room, learning resource center, art room, meeting/conference rooms, and offices. The campus has two fenced playfields, a basketball court, a preschool playground with shade structures, covered outdoor lunch area, walking paths, and gardens.
